Title: Paper Dart 2903 "Maxim" on ebay
Post by: DavidW on 14 Sep 2006, 11:18

A very smart looking Paper Dart has appeared on ebay with an interesting commentry -

I knew this boat in the 80's when it was certainly very well cared for - still looks in excellent shape in the photos.

Cheers

This is quite close to me, so I am making an offer for it.

The GRP-ness of it will be better for myself and my crew than the crusader, as we both suck at anything woodwork related.

I wonder if the offer will be accepted ....

(also) Is the 21 stone we come in at reasonable in a Paper Dart?

Thanks

James

Paper Darts were very dependable at the time and if this one has been looked after well, it could be worth going for.  On balance though, don't expect it necessarily to be as quick as your Crusader.  It's two generations before in terms of boat development.
