Geoffrey Bull, the owner of Rampant when they won the Silver National was a member of Trent Valley S.C.. He retired from sailing not long after this win and took up fox hunting.

N909 pictured in the 1959 book "The New Small Boat Racing" by John Fisher.
The image caption reads as follows "Close quarters during the Burton Trophy race at Weymouth (1952). Ian Proctor (N1000) in Stimulus had just got an overlap on G. Bull's Rampant."
Geoffrey Bull went on to finish 3rd with Proctor 4th.
