over the 50 boat barrier….
No surprise really, but official entries have now gone beyond the 50 boat point, with 53 registered to date. Start line continues to get busier!
Camping News…
Just a quick message to all those camping at Burton week. We have just arrived on site to be greeted by a wonderful? dippy lady. She will require cash virtualy on arrival for your stay, and then will indicate EXACTLY where to pitch your tent. She has shown us where the tents will go, and it looks lie it will be 3 rows normally where one row of caravans are! Dont know where you will park your cars! Do not attempt to come in with your boat it is a little bit tight!!!
Other than that all looks good, but please bring the sunshine!
Naomi
Are you sorted….?
Have you sorted out your fancy dress for the party yet?
If not, get your thinking hat on and don’t forget that the theme is ’75’
More obscure the interpretation the better!
Late accommodation availability
If anyone still requires accommodation for Burton Week at Brightlingsea the following may be useful:
Waterside Marina Holiday Rentals which are adjacent to the Club may be able to offer apartments for 4 people from Saturday to Tuesday checkout, the cost would be around £250.
Contact Jane or Philip Howden, philip@cddltd.plus.com for further details.
Don’t miss the early entry deadline!
late entry deadline is the 1st August 2011 leaving only 17 days as of today to get you entry to our class secretary and avoid the rise in entry fee. It would also be very beneficial to the class if you could enter early so that we have a more time to gauge numbers and sort out what is sure to be another cracking event.
