I agree that Yvonne has given us the benefit of some fantastic photos - trouble is she's not with Fotoboat who are producing a 12 calender.

John - my presence in that photo  is coincidental - I really do want us to get a 12 in the calender!

To my mind you cant beat 2 pack polyurethane but you need to be careful what you apply it two as apparently it blisters when applied over single pack poly - I do know from experience that it doesn't take kndly to Tetrion filler.

Rumours is a Pipedream - was very pretty when new and sailed by Richard Colley as I recall.  No outstanding results but nothing wrong with the boayt al those years ago. Don't know where she's been more recently.

Indeed it is - and has had a vote from me - the one of Dare and Emily however has had a few more!

We've made it past the first cull and are now in the final 30. Lots of votes now for Passion Pudding on page 2 of the gallery (we have to start all over again after the 1st cull). vistt lots of times, vote every time and let's get a 12 in next year's general calender - they are doing a class one for us  already.

Andy

You should need neither a new class nor a new boat for sailing on the river. What you have should be ideal apart from the sails perhaps - do try and find a cheaper 2nd hand suit - they do come up occasionally. Where is your bit of river? Can you  come to Twickenham open meeting on Sunday to see how some "expert" river sailors set up their boats?

You should be using next to no kicker in the really light stuff on the river and frequently should ignore the jib tell tales - the wind at the top of the main is often truer and stronger on a river. You need to sit very well forward  - tight against the shrouds. See the article by John Thornton in the guide on this site. It contains some sound advice.

Don't change class - pesevere - the 12 will reward you far more than a Grad when you get it right - it will come but can take a bit of time.

We're up to a top rating of 10 - keep up the good work and we should get past the 1st cut - then we need to start again!

Keep hitting that 10 button on the pictures of 12's  - especially Parradise Pudding on page 4 as this one has a head start in the votin but lets get them all up to 10!

I'm affraid I can only make Sunday but I'm unlikely to check any forecasts before I leave as I'm feeling withdrawal symptoms having missed the Regatta this year!

Looking forward to a brilliant day!

Now here's the really good bit - you can vote every time you visit the site afresh!  ;)

Keep voting!

Mike

I believe that you have identified at least 3 vistors who'll be there!

Look forward to a great day's (no pun intended) racing.

One day I'll find out the identity of the real icecream man!

Come on everybody  - lets get a 12 in the calender again - voting is easy - just go to the site and rate each 12 picture highly! The one of Dare & Emily seems favourite (page 4) so lets build on this with a few more top scores!

Also vote for a class calender if you think we should do another one for next year.

Penzance is a long way but we have been known to pop down to St Ives for just a day trip so its not out of the question.

Frances could bring her surfboard and we'd both be happy!

See you at Grafham  - Salcombe's before that , I trust we'll see you there too?

Cheers
