Perhaps we better start reminding ourselves what a Gate start is all about.  Haven't done one of those since Tynemouth 85!

This boat was at Rudyard in the 80's sailed by Tony Hart with son Gareth. I believe they sold it when they built their Baggy 3298 (have I said that before? sounds familiar) but am not sure.

Ian often sailed his boats standing up, but you could never tell from outside the boat!

Ian Emery owned this boat in the 80's and sailed it at Rudyard Lake before he built his Baggy. Ian was very quick in this boat, probably due to the fact they sailed it incredebly light.
I remember he placed top 5 in a race at the Nationals, possibly Exmouth 86 though my memory is fading.

Pictures of 3297 when nearly complete.  We left pigment out of the resin as a weight saving idea. it went to Whitstable like that but Richard later sprayed it.

Richard Bradbury bought this beatiful boat off Kevan in the 80's and sailed it at Rudyard before he built his Baggy. Won the Tubs trophy at Llandudno in 83 with Gareth Morris with about 26 stone in the boat!

Sorry Antony we will not be able to make it. I volenteered to help run the fun/try a sail day at the club in the Saturday. So I will be messing around in a Firefly for the day.
Don't worry, back in a twelve on Sunday.
Isn't it strange how some things never change. We did the Easter regatta at Up River and finished 2nd to Paul Pelling. Nothing new in that except he was in a Heron!

Nice job alex, has inspired me to finish mine. Since I moulded it at Christmas it has just been lying in the back of the garage!

I to like the power of perfection without the words but disagree on one point...

Any update on Numbers for Burton week? Web page still shows 49... tantilisingly close to 50.
From discussions at Burghfield we are well passed that.  Is that official?
