Hatchets have a long arm out of the front of the board to the pivot point - I cannot remmeber if 3111 has this or not... Email me some pics if you have got any and I can probably tell you!

Best way is for this arm to be very thin (3 or 4mm) and have a fixed amount of padding in the box either side of the arm in the rotational arc of the arm to displace the most water - as this is fixed in, it is not against the rules. All this fuss for a few k's of displacement... Maybe we should have daggerboards to save the expense?

P.S. 3241 in November is a Baggy 2...

I believe it has to comply with the pre DB buoyancy rules to qualify as an AC boat, so no it is not.

Seems silly really, not much incentive to develop older boats...

The 'Guy' was Howard Chadwick, and yes...

We did get an invite, as I spoke to the lady from Burnham Corinthian at the Dinghy show as she approached us then... I happened to be with Ben Brown (Cherub) at the time and he made sure they got invited too!

I handed the pack to whoever was in charge on the stand that day as I was trying to sell boats at the time!

I was told there was a limit on the number of Xenon's available for the weekend, so maybe we dropped off the bottom?
