Appeared advertised on eBay during 2022. Located in Northumberland. eBay ad read as follows :
"National 12 Sailing dinghy. Hull only with boom, and a centre board, a rudder/ tiller all fittings except mast.
This boat was written off by the insurance company after the mast was stolen! We are selling for £1 rather than cutting up and taking to the tip. Sale proceeds will be returned to insurer. It needs a good home.
Great boat sails well, decks need revarnishing. Superb easy project. Combi trailer and sails to the be sold seperateley"

Destined for Bonfire Night 2022.
From John Chalker - "I was offered 1789 free of charge as a light restoration...
Unfortunately when Lew Jones dragged her out of storage things weren't looking too good.
Stickers indicate she was at Chew Valley at some point before ending up in east Suffolk.
Sadly extensive rot has reduced the keel, hog and garboards to compost. The better parts aren't much better.
Anything salvageable has been set aside before bonfire night comes around."

"We need to find a better home for 1788 Pish Tush, a 1959 clinker-built Mark 9 design by Ian Proctor. We bought her 3 years ago, almost in error; she's entirely unsuitable for our small 'pond', and after some use she was pulled out & stored. Unfortunately the cover was not as good as we thought, and though no water was held in the hull, there's a lot really could do with re-varnishing. Structurally, there is absolutely no problem; the hull & outer paintwork are fine, but she looks sad (& a bit green!)."
