Hi Chris! What is the postcode for satnav purposes? I hope to be there! Cheers, Paul :K)
Thinks - But which boat shall I take? N2020/2359/2399/2487/3157? :-/

A cunning plan! But which boat, Kevin?

Oops! Suitably told off and I should have known - sorry! And slightly baffled coz Peter M is apparently taking two boats? :-/

Yo Gattiman! Regret that we will not be going to Norfolk Broads after NWNW; farming duties and major local social comittment on the Sunday means back home to darkest Derbyshire Saturday morning. Have had clearance from NWNW to change to Dolly (no problem to them) and Roly Mo will be taking the Smuggler as well as the plastic yot to hedge bets. Not heard from Vince yet...... Px :K)
And talking of other yots, it's not so much the insurance, it's the time, energy and repairs that cost! Took Mr Jones for a spin on Sunday; good fun but work to do..... :D

I know that it's only a few days away, and I hope that this doesn't cause any problems but is anyone taking a vintage boat to NWNW? As it's their 60th a few vintage yots might create even more interest in N12s and NWNW. I believe that Peter Miatt was rumoured to be thinking about an old boat (and dressing accordingly!), and hopefully Vince will be there as usual for one or two races in his 7 plank Whisper. If there is interest, I would like to take Dolly instead of N3157 this year. Gattiman will probably take his Baggy rather than N2255 (pressure from crew to sail a "fast" boat!). RSVP asap! Paul :K) N2020/N2359/N2399/N2487/N3157 (nearly as many as our Chairman?)

Boats / Re: N2399 Mr. Jones

Mr Jones has been donated by Richard White to the "Turner Collection" of historic/original design vintage N12s (currently including N2020 Starfish and N2359 Shotgun) to be made available for competent helms to enjoy at future vintage meetings.

Excellent report and photos, Andy! And the results of the MAAT up to round three, including Welland, are now posted elsewhere - only 5 "proper" qualifiers so far but still three more meetings to go - next stop Redesmere Sunday 23rd August - see y'all there! P:K)

Brilliant day's yotting on Sunday! Bright sunshine, gusty breeze and great hospitality & organisation - well done and thanks to Andy Prior and the crew at Welland Yot Club. Full report soon but Gerald Copsey won and is now well in the lead in the series. Px :K)

Gerald Copsey is currently well in the lead of the MAAT after 2 rounds with Andy Pryor second (??)!?!?!?!) and on his home territory next weekend, then a whole bunch on virtually the same points. All the play/sail for! I will publish the running order after Welland. Px :K)

Me too! Px :K)

Greetings Chadders - Dolly Daydream (now repaired after the Burton) will be there - and so will I! No Christine (daughter's school speech day) so Cpt Carbon has promised to supply a fit, able and experienced crew - I await with interest! Px :K)

Noting the tone of the article, the thought comes to me that "1870" might just be a deliberate spolung mistook? :K)

So that's three of us yotting on 12th July! And you are probably too young to remember the infamous team racing trio of Dalby, Robinson and Turner aka the "Trent Valley Ditchcrawlers"? Oh, and the word "dyke" means something entirely different over in these parts! Px :K)

Hi Andy & Charlotte! Christine and I will be there in N3157 Perfect Kiss - hope to have the new Aardspars carbon rig suitably tuned by then. Looking forward to some "ditch crawling"! Px :K)

We have had a very good turnout so far in the new MAAT series with 19 at Trent Valley and 13 at Hykeham. Here's a reminder of the remaining meetings:
Sunday 12th July Welland (new for 2009!) 3 races from 11:30 - i/c Andy Prior
Sunday 23rd August Redesmere (welcome back!) - i/c Alan Mason
Saturday 12th September Olton Mere (watch out, the lads are getting good!) - i/c Chris Troth
Sunday 13th September Trent Valley - this will be TWO open meetings in one, plus the MAAT prizegiving after tea! Three races from 11:00 - the DBs and ACs will sail together, and the 4 plankers and Vintage will start five minutes later. THIS EVENT WILL COUNT TOWARDS BOTH THE VINTAGE SERIES AND THE MAAT!
You only need one event to qualify; the best three results will be counted and non-attendance will be scored as the total attendance at the largest open meeting plus 1 point.
And in addition to the usual presentation of the MAAT trophy to the overall winner a voucher for a half price ALVERBANK Dacron jib will be awarded to the winner and the first AC boat.
