I am contemplating doing this one in N443 or 1719 then going on to the Naburn Paddle meeting.  I really do not want to tow back to Colchester so wonder if any of your members would let me park a boat on their front lawn and I can then pick it up on the way to Naburn.  Also, and this is the big one, have you any spare crews knocking around?

This Proctor 8 has come into my possession and I will try and get her to a couple of vintage meetings.  She is a bit tatty but will be ok for a season or two.  She looks to be more or less original with an early ally mast and Ratsey and Lucas suits of sails probably from other boats.  Any history would be welcome in addition to whats in The Book.  It looks like she has had a few names and the original one isn't too attractive either so I am working on a change.

I only sailed on Saturday which was hot and sunny with a nice gentlish wind for me sailing 443 singlehanded.  I hope that next year soem vintagers can make this venue.  It seems ideal for the older boats.  I didn't have time to say thanks so could Anthony please pass these on to the club for me.
