It reminds me of the Banana boat song.... What are the new words for the N12 version?

I varnished mine last winter and started the conventional way up. I then put the boat upside down on high trestles. This worked well for the centre of the boat and under the side decks.  I had to do the last coat on the deck the other way up again. It also allows you to work on both sides at once.
My challenge is to refurbish the self bailers.

Sorry. We won't be able to make it. It's the Chew Valley 40th Anniversary event that day.

Transport problems have intervened this morning. Sorry we won't be able to make it. Have a great day.

Good points about the setting times and keeping the compressor running.

It was Angus who was looking at carbon booms, so over to him on that one.

I just picked up a couple of these off ebay (see Classic L25).

Worth a try I thought.

What is the ideal flow rate and pressure?

On page 8 of the 2007 handbook, that has just arrived throught the post,  the cut off is prior to sail number 3414 and those that meet the pre 1/1/1996 buoyancy rules.

So I guess not. But I may be wrong  8)

Has anyone sucessfully replaced the seals in an Anderson Super Max bailer?

Is it possible to do this without removing the whole thing from the hull or does refitting the rivets between the two flanges make this impossible?

Any pictures of one disassembled would help. Thanks.

I have a great new suit of Alverbanks from Kevan which are a dramatic improvement on the 10 year old one's I used last year.

I went for Pentex laminate main and Dacron Jib after taking some advice. These were made for my mast bend profile.

We plan to be there, if only to remember how to sail. :) Grimley is now back in commission (at last).

Will any measurers be there? I have a new jib and main to be checked.

I think this is probably an issue that won't go away as recent wrist mounted GPS are becoming very small and accurate. I use one for running and this gives pace/speed/distance lap times etc. I ran a half marathon at the weekend and by the number of people using them, Garmin have sold a lot of these. The cost has been dropping.

Hovever to do the VMG thing you need to know which waypoint you are heading for so this is really only practical in training unless you locate all the marks before or during the race.

I still probably wouldn't use one other than for boat tuning as reacting to changes in wind & weather misses the point of trying to predict them.
