Apparently an actuary is someone who finds accountancy too exciting!

Angus - I think the quote relates to lies and statistics, but obviously you have not met many lawyers! But hey, I love solicitors,  they make accountants look cheap and efficient! Glad you got a mast, by the way! P

Dear "greight expectations",

For the sake of the sanity (or otherwise) of all those N12 sailors out there, we really don't want to get into a frenzy of accountants jokes! Trust me on this! :'(

P aka Baffled of Breaston ??)

What did Chadders actually say about trumping accountants?! Accountants' positions - a variation on missionary? And NO offer - coz I've got a broken carbon mast ex a Merlin accident to make a few carbon booms from -  for Microclipper!  :P I can't believe that Chadders, as guardian of the vintage fleet, is being seduced by the dark (Kitching/Carbon) side! :o

Just chatting to Richard Watson about N12 yotting and TVSC stuff and he was wondering where his old yot N2959 "Landslide" (Windfall design) had got to. Rumours of it passing through Olton Mere and wieght reduction surgery had reached his ears but he would like to be re-acquainted now that ther are a few 4 plank events around.

PLease reply here!

Thank you to all who have sent their thanks; we will do it again next year!

Apologies for the delay in posting a report but the results got lost in transit and I am having a bit of a techo nightmare trying to paste the photos! Chadders has the results for the Bailer Series as amended to delete the four plankers and I hope to finish off the write up next week (and the one about NWNW).

By the way, has anyone seen the report about the Yorkshie Ouse Open back in June? Or am I having a senior moment?

Oh and is there a deadline for the next newsletter?

Thank you to all who turned up last Saturday at TVSC to support our Vintage & 4 PLank Open meeting - even though we were missing some of the regulars there were 13 boats (10 vintage) competing in the "John Sears Exhibition Event", and some new faces too!

A full report with photos will be available later in the week.

The forecast for Saturady is looking good (per BBC/MetOff) dry, sunny spells with a decent breeze - so what's the excuse for not coming down to TVSC?

Indications are we have an entry of 10(ish), so we would welcome lots more entries!

French definitions for you:

Coup de grace - french lawn mower

An apperitif - a set of french dentures

Metronome - a little man who works on the french underground

Next.......................... ::)

Greetings - and Vince Phillips has just promised to be there (subject to it not blowing a gale!). And, Mrs RM, we have a supply of spare rudders......... so there's no excuse! :)

And sorry we won't be seeing you John; hope you are fit and well soon!

I see my name is mentioned above re Crazy Diamond - please refer to the other thread on this subject about taking the floor out, crew and helm comfort etc! And I find my new AC (Microclipper)even more comfortable than the China Doll!
