or you can try mine at Chipstead next time you're there!
As an aside, even the Graduates now use (very long > 2M) dangly poles at Chipstead.

Hi all
I am selling a Rowsell Kevlar main sail. New 2005 but little used and in extremely good condition. A full sail with massive foot.
Measurements are                            3/4 1077; 1/2 1687; 1/4 2155
Sensible offers around £300 considered. My phone number’s in the handbook.

Giles and I had a good day with 5 expressions of interest: 3 trial sails and 2 to come later in the season. Noel and Kate drove up from Brighton and spent the morning planing around in my Foolish and Giles' Grebe! 2 club members also had goes: Ian and Tally (RS200) and Stuart (Firelfly) took the boats out. All made appreciative noises so we'll have to keep on at them to take the plunge.:)
I'll let you know how things pan out.

Hi all
Just a reminder that there will be an opportunity to try a Twelve at Chipstead SC this Saturday, 5th April. I plan to start about 11ish. This day is mostly aimed at Chipstead sailors but if anyone isn't going to Bristol and wants to come along you'll be welcome. There will be my Foolish and Richard Ball's Chapter (both double bottomed) and also Giles Edmond-Preedy's fully varnished Grebe (single bottomed) plus my Proctor Mk6 to look at / try depending on the weather! Forecast is better than earlier in the week so hopefully we'll get some sunshine! :B
Directions are on the club website - see previous entry.
If you are intending to come could you respond here and then I'll know to look out for you.

As we are now down to only 2 active boats at Chipstead I've organised a Try-a-12 day at the club on Saturday 5th April. I know this clashes with the Gill event at Bristol but I'm aiming to encourage members at Chipstead to have a go in a 12. I'll be letting people have a go in my Foolish and hopefully there'll also be a Chapter to try. If anyone who's not going to Bristol would like to come along you'd be very welcome to bring your boat; I'm aiming to start about 11 o'clock. Directions to the club can be found on this link to the website http://www.chipsteadsc.org.uk/csc/map.htm. Let me know if you are coming.

Boats / Re: N2234 Intermezzo
15 Mar 2008, 08:15
I owned Intermezzo for a number of years from 1969 until about 1976 / 7. Mostly I sailed her at my home club on the River Yealm in Devon and many Salcombe Weeks. We also ventured to the 1975 Plymouth Burton Week. The photo was taken by my brother John and shows Bedlam in the foreground and Intermezzo behind.

I bought Vanishing Smile from Richard Holtum in 1984 and sailed her with my wife Maggie crewing (even when pregnant!). We did a few opens in the Thames area and also 1986 Exmouth Burton Week. Due to lack of time with a growing family I sold her in 1986. The photo attached was taken at Exmouth.
