Unfortunately I am having to sell Cinzano as my teenage sons want a boat and Cinzano is just too good for teenagers to mess around in with their mates, so I think, so I've bought N2844 which is a GRP Paper Dart.
Hope Cinzano goes to a good home, enjoy her and show her off as she deserves.

But have now taken a deposit from a lovely guy, Andrew Doyle, who will collect her this next week and hopefully have some fun from her. Keen sailor so lets try and keep him in N12s.

I'm afraid that I've had to advertise my China Doll on ebay. Having only bought it there a couple of months ago I've now bought N1777 Cinzano and there is not sufficient garage storage at the property that I have just bought for two dinghies.
N2730 is in excellent order and will be a credit to any vintage races.

I am very pleased to say that I am the new owner of Cinzano. I had heard that she was now in excellent condition and when I collected her from Mike Liggett today found her exactly so. Looking forward to a long period of ownership and some fun sailing. She joins my China Doll, N2730, and who knows what else in the future. Thank you, Mike.

I have bought N2730 on ebay and collected it today. Really pleased with the general condition and the way the seller had looked after it. He was a really good guy to deal with and it came with excellent sails (2 sets) and had been maintained well enough that initially I can't see anything that needs to be done before sailing.
History wise seller owned it for three years, in 2006 he bought it from Simon Cooke of Lincoln, I see in the 2003 yearbook that it was owned by I Hunter of Stockport. I will try to fill in more details but if anybody can furnish me with information or add anything here, please do so.

On ebay again in late May 09 with a starting bid of £600. I asked the seller a few questions such as the condition now compared to photos shown here as he didn't show photos of areas as shown here where work is needed. He didn't answer those questions but waffled. He indicated that he is very genuine 70 year old person and the boat is his pride and joy but again wouldn't answer questions. I asked relevent questions re the class certification and where he sailed it  and he wouldn't answer but said if interested then bid. Then he removed it from auction before the time was up. All seems very suspicious and dubious.

Boats / Re: N2135 Foggy Dew

I bought N2135 from a doctor, J R Hansen, in Cambridge in about 1967/8, sailed at Pitsford (Northampton SC) when it had an active N12 class and Dr Dan Miller, a 12 sailor, was the Commodore  and sold it to a gentleman near Market Harborough in 1971. I had a GP14 damage the transom whilst I owned the boat and the repairs were carried out by Wyche & Coppock in Nottingham. The first owner, the doctor, had a reasonably successful club racing career with N2135 and it was a very sensative sail.
With 2135 the doctor won the Scarborough Yacht Club Salver at Torquay in 1964 in Burton Cup Week.
