I've just seen this post.
I'm a member of Parkstone but no longer have a National 12. One of the member had a Numinous design as toy (there's no fleet racing for them at PYC) but it hasn't been at the club for a year or so.
Have you had any success with your quest? If not perhaps try Spinnaker SC which is where we last sailed our Twelve, there may be one or two stool there.

The Cat's Pyjamas has now moved to the South Coast from storage in a Suffolk barn for a few years. Now sailing at Parkstone Y.C.

This goes to Macmillan nurses who are such a comfort to so many who face this horrible illness. Terry's daughter-in-law is in the team tackling the challenge of Snowdon for this cause.

Good to see glimpses of my first 12 there (925)

Originally built for Stephen Harman of Henley SC & painted green.

To quote the rule book:

"12 CREW
The crew shall consist of two persons including the helmsman."

[face=HelveticaNeue-Roman]That being said, I have sailed countless club races singlehanded in various Twelves and they are a delight to sail singlehanded. My single hnded weight at 14stones+ was nearer to some competitors weights two up than I could have been when sailing with a crew. The local club rules permitted sailing singlehanded and used the normal 12 handicap, though some races were personal handicaps wich tended to correct matters.  Strictly speaking I was sailing out of class.[/face]

A shameless "bump" with a quote from Frances's Facebook page today:
"A year ago today I was, I am told, ...within half an hour of dying. At best they thought I would have serious brain damage.

 But I am here! And next week I am going to run 5k to raise money for Headway, the charity which supports people with acquired brain injury and their families. I am lucky. My brain damage is small.

 When I left hospital, I had limited use of my limbs. I couldn't read. I couldn't tell the time. I couldn't do lots of things that we take for granted. I am lucky. So much has come back, thanks to medication and hard work.

Just rigging the boat this evening when I noticed a Numinous tucked away in the corner of the yard - I'd guess Jayseayess from the colour.
Good to see.
If the new owner fancies chatting 12's  he/she should wonder over to the Merlin ranks, we now sail MR 3655 Loosed Cannon but have so many happy memories of sailing 12's over around 35 years.

Some of you who remember racing against us may know hat Frances was very seriously ill last year and has been diagnosed with Churg-Strauss Syndrome. The vasculitus that she suffered last summer has left her with a number of new challenges in life.
