Does anybody know where to get high density foam for carbon rudder stock building etc from?

My 11 year old daughter is crewing for me but is struggling with holding the jib sheet, even with rachet blocks. There are cleats on the centreboard case capping but they are difficult to use, has anybody had the same problem and solved it?

How much do you want for the Ullman jib?

You do not need the inner core to be spicable. What I do is to pull the cover back about 7" and cut off 6" of core take some 5  or 6mm dyneema for the tale (overlength) and completely strip it, fold it in two and sew and whip, with whipping twine the mainsheet core to the dyneema. Then pull the outer back over and sew through the cover down the 6" and finnish with a nice neat whipping. The tails are of course Dyneema and eyes can easily be spliced with the aid of a splicing needle and also finnished off with a whipping. That's how I have always done it without any problems.

Although a long way off I am planning on fitting a double floor to my 12(Gryphon 3214) in the autumn. The boat needs some TLC etc so I thought I would fit a double floor at the same time. I wondered if anybody had any experience of doing this and if they had any photos of the various stages? It would be good to maybe put it on the website somewhere.

I have posted a request on the wanted board but I thought I would mention on the forum. I need some half decent second hand sails for a tin rig M7. I am on the Suffolk/Essex border but can get a carrier to collect.

Thanks to everyone for their advice. Kevan has also sent me an email with some advice so when the weather finally settles down I will set it up again with better results hopefully? I am still thinking about Burton week and depends on how the staying upright part of the sailing is going.

I brought Gryphon 3214 last year, she has an M7 SS mast and I am now sorting her out for Easter. I have wound the spreaders as far back as they can go (165mm) and they are 360mm long but the mast is inverting when I pull on the rig tension. The spreader rake should be giving me more than enough pre bend which it is only the wrong way!!!!!!!!!!!:'( Any ideas or advice would be gratefuly received.
