Apologies Jon, email has been a nightmare for the past few weeks - all sorted now!

Without wishing to provoke heated debate here, I would just like to repeat previous comments (amitedly from some time ago) that we at Spinnaker would be delighted to host a future Gill event.

Spinnaker has a strong 12 fleet and would make a great venue. There are many good reasons for holding our open alongside club racing for the past couple of years and with a typical turnout of less than twenty boats this works well, however the Open in June and a prospective Gill event do not need to be one and the same! In 2010 we hosted the Firefly Inland Champs with 50 boats on the water and there is no reason why we could not do the same for the 12's.

Look forward to discussing the 2012 programme!

Wouldn't miss this one, we will definately be there!  Just a shame it is only one day this year.

Mike, If you haven't arranged returning the magnificent trophy yet, we are just off the M3 @ J12 if that is any easier? Number is in the book.

See you all there! (and how could one ever be too far South?)

We would love to see Max Factor joining the Spinnaker fleet, but suspect the rumour has been sparked by a minor typo in the preliminary results. To set the record straight, Jeremy and Janessa Hartley are sailing 3474 Master of Puppets and not 3473.

Corrected results are attached.

A brilliant day, thanks again to all who contributed.

Quote from: 516Anyone able to crew for Nick this weekend in 3411 ?

I have put the word around, I am sure we will be able to find a crew.

See you Sunday

Please note slightly later start time to enable child care arrangements to be made.  We aim to be in the dinghy park from 10:00 ready for briefing and first on the water session around 11:00.

There will be plenty of tea and coffee available, but please bring you own butties as the caterers are not on site until the evening.

See you all there?

Spinnaker's second coaching day will take place on Saturday 19th June. Burton Week winners Graham Camm & Zoe Ballantyne have kindly offered to lead the session, so this really is one not to be missed!

An evening BBQ will follow the coaching day, with food served around 6pm. This is open to all and not just those attending the coaching so if you are planning to attend the Open on Sunday, why not make a weekend of it?

Rigged and ready by 10:00,  see you there.......

The 2010 N12 Spinnaker Open will take place on Sunday 20th June alongside our normal club racing.
This will convince any Spinnaker members who hadn't figured it out already from the ear to ear grins on those returning from Weymouth what a fantastic class we have!

Entries from 10:00
Briefing       11:00
First Race    12:00, with a break for lunch and two afternoon races back to back.

Full catering will be available from the clubhouse during the day.

Entries on the day, but it would be good to get a feel for numbers - so please post here to confirm you are coming
