Thank you to everyone who joined us at Northampton for the Inlands and Gul Series finale this weekend.  I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.  Big thanks in particular to Mike Pickering from Gul, who travelled from Cornwall to join us at last night's Gul series 2013 prize giving and for bringing with him some extra prizes.  Gul's sponsorship of the series has been fantastic this year.
Finally, well done to Graham and Zoe for winning not only the Gul series but also the Inlands.

So...Patrick, can I take it from another string that you are now sorted for a crew?  Angus, we think we have sorted you a crew.

The final event in the 2013 Gul series (Sat only) and the Inland Championships will be held on 9 and 10 November at Northampton Sailing Club, Pitsford Reservoir.  The NOR is on the homepage of this site and can also be accessed, along with SIs etc on the open meetings section of the NSC website at www.northamptonsailingclub.org
The Gul series prize giving will be held on Saturday evening and will include the prize draw to win a weekend away in at the Watergate Bay Hotel in Cornwall.  You have been automatically entered into the draw every time you compete in a Gul series event this year...make sure you are there to be in with a chance of winning!
The Inlands take place over the whole weekend - 5 races in total, 4 to count.  There will be three races on Saturday, starting at a very sociable 12.35.
If you are looking for a crew, do get in touch - some of the NSC juniors are really keen to sail.

We're planning on being at Ripon.  Just working out who gets to sail and when!

And don't forget that the more Gul events you enter, the more entries you get in the draw for the big prize at Northampton!

The next event in this year's Gul series is to be held at Grafham Water on Saturday 7 September.  Three races are planned with the first start not before 12 noon, there will be a briefing at 11am.
Sunshine and a lovely force 3 are booked, hope to see lots of you there.
The SIs and NOR are available from the home page.

Mike - yes, Tom and I believe that is correct - and that we are being given an extra Bank Holiday on the Tuesday so we won't need to take any holiday to do it. Brilliant!

Don't forget....if you are planning on camping on Friday evening at Northampton SC, please call the club beforehand - you'll need a code to get through the gate and the toilets.

Apart from Saturday morning (I'll check), food will be available all weekend from the galley, includng breakfast for anyone camping (or particularly hungry).
This includes breakfast on Sunday and Monday, lunch every day, a barbeque on Saturday night and Elaine will cook a roast on Sunday night for anyone not attending the dinner at Highgate House.
We'll be asking for a show of hands at the briefing to give Elaine a good indication of how many people will be wishing to have breakfast each morning, the bbq and the roast.
Hopefully this should keep the catering in van to a minimum??

If anyone is planning on camping on the Friday evening of the 75th anniversay weekend, please could you contact Northampton Sailing Club on 01604 880248 or info@northamptonsailingclub.org - you are very welcome to get a good tent space early but need to get a code for the gate and the toilets(!).

Really sorry......an early entry for the pursuit race only isn't going to get you an entry in the raffle, it will however help enormously to receive your entry before the day of the race so that we can start trying to sort out the start times for everyone.  And you still have a while before the deadline to arrange to come for the whole weekend and get that raffle entry...

Due to the cancellation of the Inlands Championships at Grafham, it has been decided to combine the Northampton Gill series and Inlands to be held on 6 and 7 November 2010.
The event will also incorporate the Midland Area Junior Championships open to helms under the age of 21 on 1 January 2010.
The notice of race will be available from the Northampton SC website as soon as possible.
Just a reminder....the next Gill series event is on Saturday at Ripon.

Looking at the Lark website, unfortunately they don't appear to have been able to organise anything at 24 hours notice either.  Tom did check with Northampton and it is too short notice to be able to organise.
Antony / Adele - if you look at the GWSC website, they have locked the gates as of 12 noon today and are not letting any boats out.

Just a reminder that the Inlands and event six of this year's Gill series is at the weekend at Grafham.  Looking forward to seeing lots and lots of people there and to some great racing.

Jeremy is right, the NOR does state that pre booking camper vans is necessary but not for tents, however, if you intend to arrive on Friday evening and camp, I would suggest that contact is made with GWSC to ensure that this is possible.
