'12's have a long and honourable history at Frensham, and I would like to see them resurrected, as the pond is a perfect 12 venue. The best way to do this is to have a good turnout for this event, even tho' they won't be 'state of the art' boats. Come to think of it, a 12 did shine at the Frensham Frenzy a couple of years ago, demonstrating not only that it was well sailed, but that it suited the pond. We only have two of our own at present, but that's two more than last year !

Just reminding you, with less than two weeks to go, that this is the REAL opportunity for older '12's to shine. Get the accommodation booked, and be there. plenty of water, though not in the beer, and a warm welcome.

Definitely a Starfish, and we have found a plate saying "Designed by Mike Noackes", so that would seem conclusive.

Thanks, chaps. (SEE YOU AT THE CVRDA FRENSHAM MEETING ON 14TH/15TH jJULY)

Many thanks, all.

John. I'll do as you suggest.

Dave. Thanks. The boat is at the club, so you can look anytime.

Frensham Pond SC have just been given National 12 - 2173. It's in quite exceptional condition - good that is !. But we don't know anything about it, despite FPSC being one of the foremost '12' clubs in days gone by.

Anyone got a book, or other references ? We need to know who designed it, and what design it is, when it was built, and by whom, and whether it has ever appeared in important results.

We hope to have it on the water in time for the CVRDA event at FPSC on 14th/15th July (TO WHICH I HOPE YOU ALL COMING), and it will subsequently be for sale - an ideal CVRDA bandit.

You are both most welcome. I can tell you that a number of boats will fail to shine in the Concours, but nevertheless will adorn the water. CVRDA is inclusive, as is FPSC, and I can arrange crews (large or small) if you need them. Strangely, Cadet sailors seem to relish the opportunity to sail in 'real' boats.

See ya !

Matt

Of course you must come. As one of the organisers I can assure you you will be very welcome, as Mark says, and he should know !! Anyway, what makes you think your boat is such hot stuff ?

With only three weeks to go until the CVRDA regatta at Frensham Pond we are promised the largest fleet we have had over the three years we have been holding these CVRDA events. As an event on the National 12 Vintage circuit it's not to be missed, and the welcome return of vintage 12's to a club that did more than most to popularise the '12' in the early days is a red letter day - or weekend.

Call me if you need any details, on 01252 311982, or nick-carol@alderwey.freeserve.co.uk
