Originally built by Donald Acklam this was the first of many National 12s that he built.  Donald sailed her with many good results (wins) in Police Open Meetings as well as at Yeadon Sailing Club.  Hoodoo was then owned by Richard Ibbotson or as he has just become- Vice Admiral Sir Richard Ibbotson!  I guess the 12 fleet have much to answer for.  Richard sold Hoodoo to my brother Bill Chadwick who has cared for her over many years sailing at club and open meeting level but not very often.  Bill has now sold her to me (Howard Chadwick) and she is in need of some TLC which will include some new decks and a range of updates to her layout and rig etc.  She is booked in with Tim Gatti for the initial woodwork, before being coming home to be refitted and recommisioned.  Hopefully she will be back in action by mid season and may even be at the Burton.
