Hi all,
I have a crack in my new (old) 12, N3211.  A crusader built by mr ledger with an inbuilt buoyancy tank at the back that is raised about 15cms.  She has a crack that is currently gaffa taped to stop her sinking.  the crack is about 30cms long and runs in the same plane as the centreline.

I was planning to chop out the offending section, stick some wood underneath around the box section for the new section to then be placed upon.  I was also planning to put  a stiffening piece vertically under the new patch too so that i could screw down into it to help get the curve as well as help to stop it happening again. fill and sand. Good news is she is currently painted with non slip in this area so I do not need to match the wood etc.

Questions:
Does this sound ok to do?
what glues/epoxy should I use?

Sorry for the lame description but its not easy without a picture!
Any comments on my plan would be appreciated as I am not exactly an expert but fancied the challenge!

thanks
Jon.
