John Ibbotson funeral arrangements

As some of you are aware our father, John Ibbotson, died on 19th August in Ipswich hospital. Dad raced National Twelves from the late 1950s to the late 1980s, owning Sixpence, N1477, before fitting out Xiphias, N2182, from a bare hull in 1963/4 and then building Polly Donkin, N2839, in 1974/5.  He was Treasurer of Tynemouth Sailing Club for many years and also sailed actively at Derwent Reservoir and South Windermere Sailing Clubs, latterly in a Flying Fifteen.  He hasn't sailed for many years but was often to be seen at Royal Harwich Yacht Club or Waldringfield Sailing Club and many other clubs around the country, supporting his family's sailing exploits.
 
 The funeral will be at 12 noon on Tuesday, 13th September at Seven Hills Crematorium and then afterwards at Royal Harwich YC, Woolverstone.
 All are welcome to join us.
