Shoreham sailing club is looking forward to hosting a fantastic two days of sailing for the National 12s over the Easter weekend - a great opportunity for some sea sailing practice in advance of the champs.

Racing Sunday and Monday there will be a separate start for the visiting fleet racing alongside the club's Easter cup event. Four races are scheduled in the excellent sailing waters off Shoreham-by-sea with three to count. Start times as follows;

 - Sunday 1200hrs, with the second race back-to-back

 - Monday 1050hrs, with the second race back-to-back

The sailing area is accessed by easy launching in the harbour and a short sail out, and the club's grassy lawns are perfect for boat bimbling and relaxing in the balmy south coast weather!

Entry is £25 for the two days and there is free camping and parking including room for campervans.

For those that prefer not to camp a list of B&Bs is available on the club website;

 - Accommodation:http://www.shorehamsailing.org/html/places_to_stay.html

 - Directions: http://www.shorehamsailing.org/SSCmap.pdf

The club will be open for food on both days and on the Sunday evening the bar will be open and dinner is being organised.

We know of a number of the top crews already signed up and for planning purposes it would be great if we could have some advance warning of others planning to make this very worthwhile trip.

I can't wait for Shoreham! The best sea sailing with the easiest launching. If you can, please support this event, we need clubs that want to hold meetings!

Forecast for sunny Shoreham looking good - although I'll still be packing my woolly hat!

Nick will be there in 3528.

Last time we went in October last year I helped Richard? on the committee boat. I will pack waterproofs this time just in case.

Gerald.

Thanks to all at Shoreham for a great event. The sailing was excellent if a bit chilly.
