One race to go. Jonno and Sophie have already won with 1,1,1,1,2 only slipping up yesterday on the final run with a needlessly ambitious move to mess up their perfect score.  Apparently they only like winning by at least 2 minutes...  It is raining this morning with 21mph forecast this afternoon.  If fat boy Willy Warren can match his lightning upwind speed with anything resembing downwind stability he could be the man today.  In the best of the rest competition 1st yesterday for Theo and I is enough to secure 2nd place.
Great fun, as ever.

Failed to mention the most impressive boat of the week.  Young Tom Ballantine from SYC, crewed by Nicky Bass in 3291 a Design 8 covnerted to double floor and with home built T-foil sailing round very fast and sensibly.  Results include beating a Dead Cat Bounce on the windy day.  They also won the U18 race on Tuesday,  How did Nicky qualify for that one?
  Go on Tom and Nicky.

So, it was an excellent week - testing saliing and we saw pretty much the whole estuary, including twice out to Starehole and one glorious long reach all the way up to Balcombe near Kingsbridge on the last day.  Jonno and Sophie were terrific and the rest of us had very close racing.  And of course, big thanks to John Murrell and everyone at SYC for looking after us so brilliantly.
