Less than 7 weeks to Burton Week (and counting!)

Some of us haven't been out on the water yet, some of us haven't finished building/fitting out our boats yet! What is certain is that we're all a bit rusty after a long cold winter.

The first of the N12 Coaching Days, and the only one before Burton Week, takes place on Saturday 24 April, the weekend after next.

Format will be familiar to you

Rigged and ready to sail 10:00 (coffee available from 09:00)
Quick chat, on the water session, video debrief
Break for lunch (I will confirm what catering will be available)
More on the water

Subjects will be what you want to cover but being at the beginning of the season, we'll be taking a good look at boat handling and turning corners

We're hoping for a good turnout from our expanding home fleet (6 entries already for Burton Week) so if you are coming, please let us know so we don't get caught out on rescue cover.

The following day Sunday 25 April is the second of the N12 Youth/Junior Series and anyone sailing in that is welcome to leave their boats overnight. Unfortunately we do not have any camping facilities at the club but there are a couple of camp sites close by in the New Forest.

Any queries, please get in touch and look forward to seeing you

Cheers

Doesn't look as if we will have catering on Saturday so bring your own butties, but there will be tea and coffee,

Anyone thinking of camping on Saturday evening, the nearest campsite is at the Red Shoot Inn 2 1/2 miles away.

And if you need any more incentive, the landlord of the Inn brews his own beer and is holding a beer festival next weekend. So if you plan on camping there, it would be a good idea to book (but remember, it's a 11:00 start on Sunday) or you may wish to find somewhere away from the beer, Google "Camping Ringwood"

Cheers!
