RYA Dinghy Show:
Support the 12 Class

The start of the sailing year is seen by many to be the RYA Dinghy Show taking place at Alexandra Palace on the 5th and 6th March. The 12 class will be there to kick start the season in style!

This year on the stand the wooden 4-Plank version of the Dead Cat Bounce will be unveiled.  This new boat is currently in its final stages of completion. It belongs to Stuart Walsh and has been built by Simon Hipkin in Essex.
There are photos of the building process so far on the N12 Facebook page.

We Need You!
Over the two days the class will need volunteers to help man the stand.  If you are planning to attend please support us by spending 1 and half hours on the stand. It is a great opportunity to interact both with sailors who are interested in 12s and those who already have a 12 but want to get more involved in the class.   If you can volunteer on either Saturday (or particularly Sunday), please email to johnandkaty12@gmail.com

A Sprinting Start to 2016 at Burghfield

Sprint Racing at the Brughfield 2015 GUL event.

The first GUL Series event of 2016 will be taking place at Burghfield Sailing Club on Saturday 19th March. The briefing will take place at 10.30am.

The fixture will take the format of sprint racing: as many races as possible will be run over the course of the day on a simple small course. Starting is the key!

Tea and cake will be available at the end of the day to supplement the energy used up on the water with prize giving taking place as soon as possible after results have been finalised.

Prizes will be awarded across the variety of fleets sailing so there will be glassware split between foilers, DBs and ACs.

Look out for the NOR and further details on the 12 website soon!
