Burton Week Predictions

This will be the year of the Girlies.  Expect more than five girlie helms on the start line for Burton Week.  With top tottie in the shape of Kath Refson, Fran Gifford, Polly Playford and Sue Pelling competition for the Money Cup will be hotter than ever.  Sounds like another good reason to sail at Porthpean!

Father-son teams also seem to be the thing this year.  Robin and Ben Wood have already proved they are in a class of their own - can Jon and Jimmy Whitehead prove to be as good (or even better?).

This year the boats will be parked on a beautiful lawn a short walk from the waters edge so no chance for Sue Pelling heroics!

Rumours are rife about the weather this year - the Crows are nesting very high so expect a hot one.
