Why should I go to Burton Week?

Burton Week is a fantastic opportunity to meet like minded enthusiasts from around the country.  In one week you can experience more than a whole season at your own club.  You will race against different people and improve over the week.  You can get your boat tuned and enjoy some training.  You can pick up tips from other sailors, sell unwanted bits and pieces, buy other peoples unwanted bits and pieces.  You can enjoy a social every night and could even meet the partner of your dreams...ask our current Chairman or the current National Champion!

Who are the right people to talk to if this is my first Burton Week ?

Your first stop should be John Meadowcroft or Graham Camm.  After you enter for the week a Buddy List will be available and you will be paired with an 'old timer' who can help you prepare for the week.  See next question.

What is the Buddy system?

We match you up with another boat for the week. This will be a mix of experience.  Throughout the week there will be spot prizes and competitions for you and your buddy. It is a chance to get to know someone you may not of otherwise spoken to!
