APPENDIX TO SAILING INSTRUCTIONS
1 CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
Before a boat is eligible to compete in a race run under these
Instructions she must have a valid measurement certificate and
comply with the class rules. The Helmsperson must be a full paid
up member of the National Twelve Owners Association for the year
of competition.
2 EVENT SCORING AND NUMBER OF RACES TO COUNT
The Low Point scoring system of RRS.Appendix A will apply.
Ties will be broken in accordance with Appendix A, Section A8.1.and
A8.2
The number of races to count will be determined by the number
of races completed, as detailed in the table below: -

3 SERIES SCORING SYSTEM AND NUMBER OF EVENTS TO COUNT
The Low Point scoring system of RRS.Appendix A will apply.
All references to race or races, in Appendix A. shall mean event
or events, this modifies appendix A
Ties will initially be broken in accordance with Appendix A, Section
A8.1
When a tie remains between two boats, the tie will be broken in
favour of the boat with the best score in the last event in which
the tied boats raced and scored differently. This wording modifies
appendix A.8 and replaces A.8.2.
The number of events required to qualify for the series will be
determined by the number of events run in the series, as detailed
in the table below:

4 CHANGE OF BOAT
Points will be awarded to a helmsman regardless of boat sailed
within the series. However, no change of boat is allowed at individual
events.
5 SUBSIDIARY TROPHY QUALIFICATION
Admirals Cup: Open to the helm of any boat conforming to the
decking and buoyancy rules pre 1st Jan 1996 (i.e. not self draining)
Juniors: under 21 on the 1st January 2005.
Family Cup: members of the same family sailing together with at
least one a junior.
6 PRIZES
Prizes will be presented to the winners of each event. Winners
that have been awarded an event prize will not be eligible for
another event prize in this series; the prize will be awarded
to the next highest eligible entry.
7 FINISHING
At the discretion of the Race Officer, boats that are on a
different lap to that sailed by the leading boat when she finishes
may be finished when they next cross the finishing line at the
end of a lap.
