Nineteen Twelves took advantage of the hospitality offered by West
Riding Sailing Club and the third Gill event of the year coincided with
their spring regatta.  This resulted in a busy little lake that
constantly kept everyone on their toes with solos, fireballs,
swordfishes and the like coming at you from all directions.  All
seven marks on the lake were used in all five races, providing
exceptionally close racing throughout the fleet.

Graham Camm and Zoe Ballantyne proved exceptionally difficult to beat,
winning both races in light winds on Saturday.  Frances Gifford and
Sophie Mackley made the least errors behind them to take second in both
and Tom Stewart and Liz Ross, and Jon Ibbotson and Charlotte Ibbotson
		took a third place each.

Sunday was grey and the wind built throughout the day.  Camm and
Ballantyne continued their form in the first race of the day but race 4
saw Gifford and Mackley prevent the whitewash by leading throughout. Sam
and Fiona Mettam led the chasing pack for most of the race before Camm
and Ballantyne got past to take the meeting with a race to spare.

The final race of the day saw a close tussle between Stewart/Ross and
Ibbotson/Stewart as they battled for third overall, with Stewart and
Ross narrowly clinching it on a last race tie-break.

Camm and Ballantyne now lead the the hotley contested Gill Series with
round 4 taking place on 16th and 17th June at Royal Harwich.
