Not sure that there is a plethora of wealthy sailmakers out there so seems likely there is little margin to erode. In fact the collapse of many lofts suggests profit margins are already very tight.

In the interest of balance Pinnell & Bax make the statistically best sails in the class taking more race wins than any other make.  Tom Stewart and Dave Wade are always happy to discuss ideas and can be found in Northampton on 01604 592808.

I am now starting work on the fixtures list for 2012 and so if you are:
a/ An area rep - please start pulling a list together
b/ A club rep - please contact me or your area rep with potential dates

I know it is a challenge but it would be good to know where we are going and when as soon as possible.  The Scorpions always have the same week and post the upcoming venues up to three years in advance which makes planning so much easier.

All crews are lightweight, it is the helm that is the issue

Well done to the organisers of this event in particular Tom & Charlotte Stewart and Lesley Iles.  The weekend was great, the sun even appeared on Saturday as Tom promised, shame that was the last we saw of it!

I am not going to work out exactly how old I will be, but I should be around for the 100th!

John Meadowcroft, Jon Ibbotson and Kevin Iles will all be there and whilst I am sure they won't thank me I am sure they can be persuaded to do some measuring....

Club will be open on Friday (including the bar!) from 19.00 until 23.00.

Kevin Iles and Jon Ibbotson will both be there this weekend.  Both can usually be persuaded with a beer.
