From Ken Goddard I bought this boat in about 1964 from a gentleman called Durbec or something like that. In the hands of the Misses Radford and named "Goofy" she had won the Money Cup (the ladies trophy) at the 1958 Burton Week. I renamed her "Melan-Coly" after my then home town of Colyton in Devon. I sold "Melan-Coly" in around 1967 when I was living in Barrow-in-Furness and sailing at South Windermere Sailing Club. She was delivered to somewhere near Edinburgh/Lothian, maybe Linlithgow. I never heard of her again. Ken Goddard |
