It's our 70th birthday in 2006, come and join the fun!

There are three main events being planned for 2006 (get the dates in your diary right away, they will be brilliant!). Further details will be posted here as they emerge.

RYA Dinghy Sailing Show

Took place on the 4th & 5th March 2006 at Alexandra Palace and it was lots of fun

70th Anniversary Regatta

Took place on the Second May bank holiday - 27/28/29 May 2006 at Northampton S.C. (Pitsford reservoir)

Burton Week Celebration

Date: 19 - 25th August

Venue: Porthpean (Cornwall)

Whilst it isn't the 70th Burton week (a few were skipped during the world wars) this is the biggest racing event of the year and an ideal opportunity for some fun on the water. Porthpean is a great family venue with an uncrowded beach and lots of reasonably priced accommodation close by. The club is very friendly and has gained a good reputation for its Cornish pasties and cake. For the non-sailing family members, there is plenty to do and see in the area, including the Eden Project, Lizard Point, picturesque villages and surfing beaches.
