By a mixture of good fortune, good sailing and some aging local knowledge plucked from the memory of the helmsman it was Antony & Jo Gifford that collected the Ganymede Trophy for winning the weekend at Aldeburgh Yacht Club.  Victory was only achieved by breaking a tie with Jon & Char Ibbotson, and after some excellent close racing with Paul & Guy Pelling and Bruce & Claire Johnson.   Utilising large parts of the river and setting imaginative courses, in perfect weather conditions, it was tough for anybody to get away and indeed race four was only won by Jon & Char by inches from the Giffords.

A perfect weekend of sailing National 12s on the River Alde was enjoyed by all.  Some very fine fish & chips were enjoyed by many as we sat on the beach on Saturday evening.
