National 12 Summer
Event Guide
Three weeks of
National 12 sailing
to look forward to
during August!
North
West Norfolk Sailing
Week
5th - 12th August
You'll be
sailing at 7 venues
over 8 days along
the North West
Norfolk coastline
whilst enjoying
plenty of time to
holiday. With early
morning or late
afternoon racing,
the majority of the
day can be spent
exploring the
delights of North
West Norfolk. Now in
its 68th year,
Norfolk Week is
always popular with
the 12 sailors.
Ready to visit
Hunstanton, Kings
Lynn, Brancaster,
Burnham Overy
Staithe, Wells,
Blakeney and
Snettisham? If you
are, there is still
time to book, with
more info about the
week available

Salcombe
Gin SYC Regatta
13th - 18th August
This year, the
Regatta is sponsored
by Salcombe Gin, so
that should be
enough to tempt you
down south! If the
Gin doesn't cut it
for you, there are
already 15 National
12s entered into the
event. The perfect
chance to finish
your training for
Burton Week!
The social side
of the Regatta will
enthusiastically
embrace the new
partnership with
Salcombe Gin shown
through a Gin and
Cocktail bar on the
Yacht Club
terrace all week and
a lively gin and
jazz event on the
Thursday evening.
Special events and
benefits are being
organised for
competitors and
there will also be
prizes of Salcombe
Gin and engraved
glasses for class
winners.

Burton
Week 2017
19th - 22nd August
As Tom Stewart
remarked last year
at Brightlingsea, if
all the attendees
invited one of their
sailing friends to
Weymouth in 2017
we'd have over 80
boats out sailing.
Whilst we haven't
seen entry at that
level for a number
of years, it would
be fantastic to
reach over 40
entries again. Last
time we were in
Weymouth in 2010 we
had a brilliant
fleet, lets do that
again.
All
the Burton Week info
can be found
here
If
you're thinking of
attending Burton
Week but don't have
a crew, helm or boat
then get in contact
with us and we will
sort that. We
already have a few
helms looking for
crew, so don't be
shy!
To try
an encourage new
faces, this year
first time helms to
Burton Week
will receive a 50%
discounted entry!
Ben Ainsle won
Gold at Weymouth in
2012, you can win
the Burton Cup in
Weymouth in 2017!
